From wedding gowns to evening gowns, shoes and accessories add the perfect touch to your special day. Here are a few tips from celebrity stylists and our Bicici & Coty experts to help you pick the best accessories to best fit you and your perfect dress…
High heels
If you must wear heels (as we often do) buy a half size to a full size bigger. Your feet tend to swell in heels and going up in size will keep you comfortable and dancing all night.
A style tip from the experts at whowhatwear.com is to give your feet a good stretch before slipping into your heels. It’s easy to get in a rush on your big day or night out but stretching makes you more flexible and helps to alleviate soreness the day after wearing. Take 15 minutes to perform a few simple yoga poses to get your calves and feet high heel ready.
A third key tip for styling high heels is using Foot Petals. These cleverly created foot inserts slip into your shoe to create a customizable fit, prevent heel pain and slipping. Every stylist swears by these and once you wear them too, you’ll never wear heels without them!

Earrings
There are a number of factors that go into selecting the right earrings, including the gown’s silhouette, embroidery / beading and whether your hair is up or down.
If your dress has a higher neckline, like YD8979, we recommend wearing your hair up or in a low romantic bun and pairing with a smaller style earring. This helps show of the detail of the gown while accentuating your neckline and collarbones. We love these “Exquisite Mini Hoops” from Charming Charlie.
Necklaces
When wearing a strapless gown, celebrity stylist and designer Rachel Zoe calls a bold statement necklace a “soulmate for a strapless dress.” To pull off the statement necklace, be sure your gown is simple and not heavily beaded to keep the look simple, yet impressionable. Try this bold piece from Baublebar paired with with dress TTW14251, from our Bridal 2015 collection.
Tips for all
With any accessories, always remember to match your metals as theknot.com. Matching the hue of your gown with the coordinating accessory shade whether, gold, silver, rose gold or pearls will make all the difference in your finished look.
Most importantly, “be your own star and create your own personal style,” as celebrity stylist Petra Flannery says!
